A Sign By The Creekfall
03:35
|
|||
Upon the forest floor
There is evidence of something dragged
Through pine needles, dirt and detritus
Tufts of hair and soaked scraps of
Ragged brown cloth lay littered about
Droplets of blood lead on
Where the creek turns, where it bends and fills
The air is damp and thick with rot
The ground, soft beneath my feet
Wettened by water and gore
Over mud and moss and stone
The bloody trail leads to a creekfall
Where a ravaged body lay
With entrails strung out and spilled
Facedown, arms and legs curled
The remains have been fed upon
I turn the body over
To find a face half-torn, frozen in death
Familiar, it becomes apparent
I know this man
Over mud and moss and stone
Where a broken, ravaged body lay
I will find the beast responsible
Vengeance for Tanorrilpyhn

It Comes
04:46
|
|||
It Comes
Do I wake, or is this a dream?
An apparition, yet oh so real
This thing, is it man or beast
This frothing nightmare?
Such a soft voice beckoning
Calling from deep within the wood
(Wood ends before tie in)
If this illusion is real
I strive to discern
But truth eludes and flees
Inhuman eyes, they lure
A silhouette obscured by shadow and brush
Eyes of jade and nacreous skin
Long, silver hair with a face
To match any beauty throughout the kingdoms
Her cold hands caress me
Alone we find ourselves
Warned as we were, to still fall prey
To this thing that hunts, that feeds
"Wayward, to err from the path,
Inauspicious it would be"
Words of one who knew, to guide us through
Yet now we are astray and Ayn'Aell cannot be found
What has become of me?
This thing, it plays with my mind
Tugging and pulling this way and that
Sultry demands, I long to comply to appease
Eyes of red, double-rowed jaws of teeth
Beauty transforms, a being of twisted death

Into The Sun
07:00
|
|||
Silence falls across the western field
The aftermath of magicks unconstrained
Torrents of blood drain
From bodies stripped of arm and cloth
Soldiers doomed and mortally wounded
Lay piled together with those already dead
With mouths agape, with empty eyes they stare...
...into the sun
Forward then my men, to the eastern flanks our forces will march
To be outnumbered, ten to one, it matters naught
So it was with the western forces, and now they are all dead to a man
Raise the flags of victory, the banners of Omnollovist'Gashyil
Sully their moral; for our enemy knows they have already lost
A red veil shrouds all within my sight
As we engage the enemy foreguard
The spraying and splattering of blood
As steel rends flesh and bodies are upheaved
I struggle to control
The might bestowed upon me
Hack and hew, feed the entities of death
Sate their unquenchable thirst
My own men cower before me
Revered I am, yet with a wide breadth they step
Stricken by fear they are, perhaps moreso than our enemy
Iniquitous is this spell imbued and chained to my soul
Yet I feel awe when it fulminates, at its power,
At the sheer majesty of its raw destruction
And the shattering of men

The Consequence of War
05:27
|
|||
Slashing my blade through the air a crescent of energy is thrown
Crackling and dark in its power
Riving the surrounding walls of Mulkri'Drreyhâavalt
A single stroke reduced a span twenty men wide into twisted rubble
Storm soldiers! Into the breech!
Claim the city, it is ours!
The defenders of the wall were cast as seeds from the hand
Flung and jarred by the extremity of force
Those not yet slain find body parts petrified
For their flesh has fused unnaturally with broken stone
Fighting is futile against impossible strength
Mulkri'Drreyhâavalt has surrendered with minimal loss of life
And yet...
... my brothers-in-arms rape and torture the women and children
They bind and disembowel innocent men
I see pain and injustice
It brings forth animus and rage within me
Though on the same side of the war
They will all die as my enemies
Call forth an ancient doom
Impregnate the soul with pernicious entities and death
You fools think yourselves invincible because of my power
Now you shall taste it for yourselves
Suffering overflows, yet again
I feel the demon's sword plunge into my chest

Anathema and Fate
03:51
|
|||
Devastation has torn across this land
A wicked scythe ripping through the cerecloth
Of two kingdoms long dead from war
Their fragmented remains fed to an ireful flame
Reduced to ash by my hand
Crimson waves of magic pulsate
And demand the blood and pain of all
Death binds anathema and fate
Thousands lay ravaged
Kin and foe alike
Slaughtered and brutalized by my hand
All victim to the hellish spirits
That channel through my soul
I seek the wizards of Lohyaell
To take away this power they cursed me with
To free me from...
... from anathema and fate

Enrapturing Dark
06:26
|
|||
Falling through spiraling plumes of cloud
Twisting, electric currents arching and coursing
Scenes of my vile acts replay before me
Beyond the walls of this grey vortex
Banished from the realm of mortal man
So be it, I would have it no other way
Consumed by regret and the guilt of the multitude slain
Embrace me, o enrapturing dark
Realization hits cast I am
Into ineluctable eternity
The remnant world is now safe from me
And may it be forever more
May they speak the name of
Kru'Kreymn Vendellivost with utmost bitterness
With salves to abate their bleeding tongues
The very name lacerates
Blessed dark all comes to an end
The void harkens; destruction and death
The world has been freed
Of them and me
No...
Beings of twisted limb with bloody lips
Their claws scratch and scrape
Upon stone as they move in shadow
May they rip this body apart and end my life
And once and for all be rid of me...
Even this cannot be
I feel my grip tighten, my sword is drawn Despite my protest
Whatever I may wish, the powers of Feyhennostkymn Telror
Disallow surrender
The funneling of doom
These creatures will die as surely as the rest
It is not the end of this curse
At least not yet, so further onwards I go
Into neverending dark
Perhaps to find a world
I cannot destroy
I awaken to find myself
A life in a desecrated land
